We have two fully qualified resident optometrists:

	JAYNE TOWNSEND is a member of the British College of Optometrists. She has a particular interest in contact lens fitting. As well as fitting conventional daily and disposable lenses she also has considerable experience in fitting unusual shaped corneas such as in kerataconus, following corneal graft surgery and post laser complications.
	JOHN STRIBBLING is a fellow of the British College of Optometrists. He has a particular interest in diabetic eye care. He is currently involved in the screening of diabetic patients for local GP’s. This involves using eye drops to enlarge the pupils of the eyes and the use of specialist equipment to examine the retina for any signs of diabetic eye disease. Digital retinal photography is routinely used to capture images of the eyes for future reference
